Pharmacy Residency Program
Our Purpose
PGY-1 pharmacy residency programs build on Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) education and outcomes to contribute to the development of clinical pharmacists responsible for medication-related care of patients with a wide range of conditions, eligible for board certification, and eligible for postgraduate year two (PGY-2) pharmacy residency training.
The PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency Program at Memorial Medical Center is an ASHP-Accredited program that prepares its graduates to practice as clinical pharmacists in small and medium-sized community teaching hospitals, clinic settings, or to pursue PGY-2 training.
The residency training focuses on the development of skills necessary to provide optimal drug therapy, function competently on inter-professional teams, and become leaders in the medication use process.
